21 June is World Humanist Day, an opportunity for humanists around the world to highlight the positive side of the humanist lifestance.The global humanist community has been celebrating this day since the 1980s. In 2021 we will celebrate World Humanist Day with a pioneering international virtual concert, and you are invited to participate for free! The name of this pioneering concert is "FITTINGinSIDE" and is organized by one of our Belgian Members deMens.nu, in collaboration with Geuzenhuis and us at Humanists International. The concert will be performed by Nadar Ensemble – a Flemish ensemble for contemporary music – in collaboration with the event participants, who will be able to share the sounds of their own cities via Zoom. Yes, that's right: you can be part of the concert too! This virtual concert by the Nadar Ensemble strikes a balance at the intersection of art and philosophical reflection about the world, our present situation and our relation to technology, while enhancing our feelings of global interconnectedness and sense of community.
