One year on from sentencing, let Mubarak know he is not forgotten

Today marks one year since Mubarak Bala – President of the Humanist Association of Nigeria – was sentenced to 24 years in prison, in connection with a series of Facebook posts that some deemed to be 'blasphemous' and 'likely to cause a public disturbance'.

What are we doing?

Humanists International is working closely with a team of lawyers to ensure that Bala’s appeal is heard before the Kano State High Court.

What can you do?
