Humanist Network News Audio Podcast

Let us listen to your own story! When did you realize you are a humanist? Did you have a life changing experience? Do you have funny, heart-warming, or empoweriung story about humanism? What is it like to be a humanist in your country? How have you worked as a humanist to make the world a better place? Questions like that surrounded all participants at the World Congress in Washington D.C. The Humanist Network News Podcast wanted to record stories of the present people and let them share with the world. But what is it about?

Humanist Network News is procuded by the Institute for Humanist Studies and is the official podcast of the American Humanist Association. Humanist Network News is an audio program, much like a one-hour radio talk show, that is available for listening at any time on the Internet. For information, visit:

http://www.humaniststudies.org/podcast/ Every episode of the HNN Audio Podcast explores a different area of humanist thought, from politics to pop culture. Humanism is a philosophy of life inspired by humanity and guided by reason. Humanists strive to lead ethical and joyful lives without supernatural belief in gods, heaven or hell. A typical episode of the HNN Audio Podcast features interviews, commentary, news, music, and listener comments recorded on our Toll Free HNN Listener Comment Line, (877) 659-1515. Notable guests have included Sir Salman Rushdie, Prof. Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, E.O. Wilson, Alan Dershowitz, Holly Near, Dar Williams and Julia Sweeney.

The HNN Audio Podcast is hosted and produced by Institute for Humanist Studies staffers Duncan Crary and Jessica Constantine.

Duncan Crary:

Crary has placed scores of positive stories about atheists, humanists and other freethinkers in the mainstream media. He’s been interviewed by

USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and dozens of other top tier newspapers. His seminar, which is catered specifically to freethinkers, covers the basics of how to write and send a press release, what to say to reporters once they call, as well as how to successfully advertise and promote your next big event.

Duncan also produces and co-hosts the Humanist Network News monthly podcast.
