To join as a Member your organization must be a humanist organization, run on a not-for-profit basis, and it must support all the following objectives:

The annual financial contribution required from a Member is 1% of the organization’s average annual income over the previous three years.

Members with over 10,000 members or receiving regular government funding can enter into discussion with the Board and Management of Humanists International to establish what support the Member can reasonably provide, either in money or in-kind, to help develop humanist organizations in less fortunate regions, using the 1% required as a benchmark.

To join as an Associate your organization must be a humanist organization, run on a not-for-profit basis, and it must support all the following objectives:

The annual financial contribution required from an Associates is 0.5% of the organization’s average annual income over the previous three years, from a minimum of £30 to a maximum of £1,500.

Everyone can support the work of Humanists International on an individual basis by setting up a recurring contribution: humanists.international/support
By setting up their recurring contributions, Individual Supporters confirm that they agree with the Minimum Statement on Humanism:
“Humanism is a democratic and ethical life stance, which affirms that human beings have the right and responsibility to give meaning and shape to their own lives. It stands for the building of a more humane society through an ethic based on human and other natural values in the spirit of reason and free inquiry through human capabilities. It is not theistic, and it does not accept supernatural views of reality.”
