YouthSpeak No.10, December 2010

Dear Readers of the YouthSpeak,

the year 2010 is going to its end and it is time for looking back and recognizing our acheivements, but also think about projects and things we failed or could not finalize as we wished.

We always have our biggest excuse in our pocket „It is just an organisation based on volunteers“, which means we have all another priorities in life next to our belonging to and work for IHEYO. Sometimes we do not take care in IHEYO or cannot use our rare time as our private life needs such a mass of attention. But in the end, it is us – IHEYO. We are the people, who show a need for a change, who like to be part of this network for achieving something out of all challenges and project ideas, out of our conferences and common events, out of our dreams and wishes for the future.

My own priorities changed quite a lot in the last two months as I´m now a mother of a small little girl. This great little wonder of nature needs a lot of my attention these days and will fill my next months and years with quite a lot of them. But I have chosen it this way like I have chosen to run for re-election as IHEYOs President again. I´m happy that I got the chance to support this young network with my strength and my energy as there is never done enough. Thanks to you.

I hope, the new year can bring back a lot of missed motivation which might got lost over the last period. I hope, we will get back to a greater communication to our members as on both ends someone is waiting for that.

Yes, we are a young organisation network based on volunteers and their time management, but we are alive.

I wish you a wonderful end of the year and a happy start into 2011. Happy New Year.

Yours Silvana Uhlrich,
President IHEYO.
