Register now to meet the Humanist World

  • Date / 27 April 2011

You have just days left to take advantage cut price admission to the 2011 World Humanist Congress. And it already looks like it may be the biggest, most diverse Humanist meeting ever. But some key deadlines are fast approaching. To guarantee your place in Oslo in August go to http://www.human.no/oslo2011 now.  The early bird rate for the congress ends on May 15.

The 18th World Humanist Congress, on the theme of “Humanism and Peace”, will be held in Oslo, Norway, from August 12 to 14, 2011. It will bring close to a thousand Humanists together from around 40 countries in the home of the world’s most successful Humanist movement. Norway, a country with just under 5 million citizens, has more than 77,000 members of the Humanist association—up from fewer than 2,000 members in the 1970s.

IHEU vice president, and former president of the Norwegian Humanists, Roar Johnsen said, “This congress is a once in a generation opportunity for Humanists to experience the great Norwegian success story. But it’s also an occasion that you will cherish for a life time. When you meet the Humanist world – with people from 40 countries sharing their experiences and goals – you gain inspiration for your own group and gain friends for life.”

Time is running out for some of the congress opportunities: applications for travel grants must be sent in by 1 May, the deadline for the post-Congress tour of the Norwegian Fjords is 10 May, and to receive the early bird discount on registrations you must book by May 15. Go to http://www.human.no/oslo2011 to book your place now.
