IHEU is pleased to announce that Colin Divens started work as IHEU administrator on June 1. Working from the IHEU headquarters, at 1 Gower Street in London, Colin will act as IHEU’s first point of contact for all member organizations and individual supporters.

“As a long-time supporter of IHEU and other Humanist groups, I am tremendously excited to have the opportunity to use my professional skills in support of my personal values,” said Divens. “I look forward to working with IHEU and its member organizations to help represent and advance Humanism across the world.”

Divens—who is fluent in French and Spanish, as well as English—will run the IHEU office in London and manage IHEU’s relations with its 100 member organizations. He will also coordinate IHEU’s representation at the United Nations and other intergovernmental organizations, as well as managing the IHEU grant programme.

IHEU president, Sonja Eggerickx said, “IHEU’s continuing growth requires a full-time administrator who can manage all our member relations, while coordinating the work of IHEU workers across four continents. It’s a challenge to maintain close relations with a hundred member organizations that often change staff and representatives. I therefore encourage all of our member organizations to reach out to Colin and introduce themselves. When they do, they will find a dedicated Humanist who is eager to help them.”

Colin can be contacted at: [email protected] and at: IHEU, 1 Gower Street, London, WC1E 6HD, United Kingdom.
