Young Humanists International supports 9 new projects around the world

We awarded a total of £16 500 to support the projects of nine Member Organizations around the world working on the promotion of humanism specifically for young people.

In April Young Humanists International launched for the first time the “Young Regional Humanist Hub grants” programme, to award activities, events and projects focusing on the promotion of humanism specifically for young people.

15 Member Organizations from all over the world sent their project proposals, for a total of £33 000 requested, and on 16 May the decision was made to award 9 of them for a total of £16 500.

The 9 grants awarded in 2019 were the following:

Council of Ex-Muslims of Sri Lanka - £500

Humanist Society (Singapore) - £3500

Uganda Humanist Association - £1900

Humanists & Atheists of Zambia - £1100

Kenyan Humanist Association - £500

Humanists Guatemala - £2000

Children's Spaces - £2500

Humanists UK - £3000

Union of Rationalist Atheists and Agnostics - £1500
