The Nigerian Humanist Movement is holding a national conference on “Witch Hunts, Christian Fundamentalism and Child Abuse” on October 21 and 22, 2009, at the University of Uyo Community Center. Participation is open to everyone.

PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME
On October 19/20 we are flyering. If you want to join us, then please arrive in Uyo by October 18 at the latest.
On October 21 from 9.00 to 11.00 am, the event kicks off with an anti witchcraft March from Ikot Ekpene Road to the venue of the conference. It will be followed by the Opening Ceremony to be keynoted by Dr N Etuk of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital. We have invited the Governor and the First Lady of the State.
The conference proceedings are in four phases:
We are planning two post conference visits to the office NAPTIP(National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffick in Persons) and CRARN on October 23.
ACCOMMODATION
Guests should arrive on October 20. There are good hotels and guest houses at reasonable prices at EWET HOUSING ESTATE. The rates are between 3000 naira to 10.000 naria.
