Peruvian Rationalist Humanists (HURA-Peru) is an association with no membership fee until now. HURA-Peru has been organizing free public activities since 2008 including the participation of academics who give presentations on a voluntary basis; video-forums, seminars, and debates mainly in public universities about philosophical criticisms of religion, scientific defenses of evolution, skepticism on paranormal and pseudoscientific claims, publication of the Spanish version of What is Secular Humanism? by Paul Kurtz, several online numbers of a Secular Humanist magazine and of a Skeptical one in a blog web page, etc.
Although HURA-Peru was able to do those activities without being registered with the Peruvian public records office and with the disinterested assistance of their collaborators, it is time for HURA-Peru to register formally, to have its own website and domain name and to have a paid organizer of its internal and external activities in order to grow as an organization and to
organize larger activities.
