With £46,000 in total funding earmarked for the year, the program serves as a lifeline for Members and Associates working on the frontlines of human rights, secularism, and community building. The 2026 Grants Program is designed to catalyze innovative, evidence-driven solutions to the challenges facing humanists today.
Humanists International is looking for projects that not only promote humanist values but also create measurable, long-term social and strategic impact within their communities. We have curated six specialized funding streams to support a wide range of humanist projects:
Javan Lev Poblador, Membership Manager of Humanists International, commented:
“In 2026, we are doubling down on our commitment to grassroots humanism. This year’s funding is designed to empower our Members to turn innovative ideas into measurable social change. Whether it’s through digital advocacy or life-cycle ceremonies, we are proud to provide the resources that turn humanist values into action.”
Applicants must be verified Members or Associates of Humanists International and must demonstrate that their projects are feasible, socially impactful, and strategically aligned with global humanist aims.
Humanists International is encouraging all eligible organizations to engage early. To ensure every organization has the best chance of success, the Humanists International team will be available to provide feedback on project proposals. Additionally, the organization will be hosting a two-part Grant Writing Workshop on 4 February and 5 February at 2PM UK time to walk prospective applicants through the process and answer technical questions.
Prospective applicants can access the official webpage to begin their submission. For specific inquiries regarding eligibility or project design, please contact [email protected].
As a registered charity and NGO, we rely on the donations we receive from our members and supporters to help us protect humanists at risk of persecution and violence around the world. If you support our aims, please consider giving a one-off or regular gift today. Thank you.
