Humanists International has announced that Roslyn Mould will be stepping down from her position as Vice President of the Board.

Roslyn has served on the Board since 2019 and as Vice President since 2023, the first African Board member to hold this position.

She is the President of Accra Atheists and former Secretary and Chair of the Young Humanists International African Working Group.

A pioneer in the promotion of humanism across Africa, Roslyn has also served as an advisor on policy and strategy at the intersection of freedom of religion or belief, feminism, anti-witchcraft campaigns, environmental awareness and LGBTI+ rights.

Reflecting on her departure, Roslyn made the following statement:

“As I conclude my tenure, I do so with a heart filled with gratitude and appreciation. It has been one of the greatest privileges to serve this remarkable organization. I am deeply honored and sincerely thankful for the confidence and trust that Humanists International has placed in me by electing me to serve our organization consistently for 12 good years. Your continued faith in my leadership has been both humbling and inspiring.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to every member for your cooperation, unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment to our shared vision.

I am equally grateful for the opportunity working with fellow Board members, both past and present. Your collaboration and partnership have been instrumental in the progress we have made together. It has been a privilege to serve alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals.

Together, I am confident that we will continue to build a stronger organization and create an even greater impact for the benefit of all our members.”

The Board and staff team extend their heartfelt thanks to Roslyn for her years of dedicated service and while they are sad to see her step down from this role, they have no doubt she will continue to do vital work in advancing humanist values globally.
