Your gift will help Humanists International to:
We are the the global representative body of the humanist movement, uniting a diversity of non-religious organizations and individuals.
Humanists International relies on the support of humanists — atheists, agnostics, freethinkers — like you to keep our work moving forward.
You can be assured that your donation will be used toward achieving our aims as an organization.
If you have any queries about your donation, or wish to discuss making a larger donation, please contact the office.
Humanists International is the trading name of the International Humanist and Ethical Union, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization incorporated in New York, USA. We are registered in England, number FC020642. Donations are tax-deductable in the USA to the fullest extent of the law.
You can help support the humanist movement and our ongoing global campaign for freedom of thought and expression by remembering Humanists International in your will. Whether your legacy is large or small, remembering Humanists International in your will helps us enormously.
Making or changing your will is a straightforward process, however we strongly recommend that you use a lawyer or a will writing service.
If you do not already have or know a lawyer or will writing service, you can find one in a phone directory, and they will be able to tell you how to leave a legacy to Humanists International in your will.
The fee for drawing up a will should be quite small – ask the lawyer how much they charge before deciding who to use.
If your will is going to be very simple, you could use a DIY will template, of which many are available online for a small fee.
We would always advice that you take advice from your lawyer regarding correct wording, but it will be useful to include our details as follows:

Your lawyer should be able to make an addition to an existing will, listing any changes you wish to make. You shouldn’t have to make an entirely new will.
There are 3 main types of gifts that can be made in a will:
Your gift will be used where it is most needed at the time. This might be supporting humanists at risk, providing support to a new humanist group in a developing country, or ensuring that the humanist voice is heard at the highest levels of regional and international government. This helps us to be flexible and adaptable in our approach to achieving our core aims. However, if you would like your gift to be used for a specific purpose you can specify this in your will.
This is entirely at your discretion. We would of course be delighted to hear from you and be able to thank you for your generosity and support. However we understand that this is a personal and private decision that you may not feel comfortable communicating.
Please contact us at the London office to discuss further.
