This project is a one-day national academic conference bringing together
undergraduate students and professors to present secular research under the theme
“Discarding God: Values in a Worldview Without Religion”. Up to 15 selected undergraduate
presenters will deliver papers following a nationwide blind review process, with their
research subsequently published on HAPI’s website. The event will establish a dedicated
academic sub-organization, HAPI Philosophy of Humanism, to sustain ongoing engagement
among emerging secular scholars.
Problem/Issue: The Philippine academic landscape lacks dedicated secular platforms for
undergraduate research, isolating young non-religious scholars and weakening the
movement’s intellectual foundations.
No. of Beneficiaries: 100
Impact: The conference will directly engage over 100 participants, recruit at least
15 undergraduate presenters into the new HAPI Philosophy of Humanism
sub-organization, and publish research articles online to build HAPI’s academic credibility in
university circles.
