This project is about strengthening the capacities of 80 newly recruited humanists in Western Uganda to become resilient in order to transition into organized humanism and promote humanism in their own communities.
By the end of the project, two new humanist community-based organizations (CBOs) will be formed and strengthened to advance humanism at a local level, new humanists will have organized to advocate for freedom of religion or belief, human rights and to engage in sustainable income generating activities to improve their livelihood, quality of life and sustain their formed community-based organizations. Also by the end of the project, the two newly formed humanist groups will join Humanist International and other organizations both in and out of Uganda.
