The project aims to achieve the following. The first of these is to build on the work the organization did last year with Humanists International and further build the capacity of the organization through a team-building component. This will further solidify our status as an effective, sustainable, and well-organized collective.
The second aim is to also continue the work that have begun last year with Humanists International in relation to offering assistance and protection services to humanists at risk. Last year, the organization launched a hotline and hired a case manager to respond to requests by humanists at risk. The organization had also established referral mechanisms and offered, in some cases, emergency financial assistance to some humanists at risk. The plan is on extending this component by allocating new emergency funds for humanists at risk, maintaining the hotline, promoting the hotline again at a larger scale, and ensuring we can pay
some fees to the case manager in place.
