Mr. Tito, President National Assembly
Belgrado, Yugoslavia
The Board of International Humanist & Ethical Union feels highly alarmed by restriction of freedom of opinion within Marxist circles in Yugoslavia and by suppression of publications such as Praxis and Filisofija and by dismissal apprehension and trials of Marxist intellectuals in a country widely considered to combine social progress and freedom of conscience and calls upon President and Assembly to continue the Yugoslavian experiment in a spirit of equity and humanity.
