About: Hosted by Humanists International’s Director of Finance and Operations, this interactive web-training will have three financial sessions:

Session 1: Foundations of Project Funding and Budgeting (11th Dec 2024)
As Sessions 2 and 3 are developed based on Session 1’s content, we highly recommend that you attend Session 1 to maximize your training outcome. We’ll also hold Session 1 twice to provide more opportunities for you to attend.

Session 2: Monitor and Report Project Financial Performance (Coming up in 2025)

Session 3: Ensure Compliance and Financial Accountability (Coming up in 2025)

Aim: These series are designed to equip small- to medium-sized organizations with limited staff capacity with the fundamental knowledge and enable them to plan, manage, and report on the financial aspects of their projects effectively.

Objectives:

By the end of the 1st session, participants will:

  1. Understand Basic Concepts of Project Funding and Grant Management
  2. Plan for an Effective Budget
  3. Create a Straightforward Budget

Training materials will be shared with you two weeks prior to the session. You can save them on your computer or print them out beforehand.

A pen and paper would also be helpful as you will do some calculations during the 2nd half of the session when we prepare a small project budget.

When: Wednesday 11th December, 09:00-11:00 EST / 14:00-16:00 BST / 15:00-17:00 CEST / 16:00-18:00 EAT / 18:30-20:30 IST
