Brian Gervaise is a professional musician, writer and music producer. He owns a recording studio near Sydney, Australia. Brian has been a member and volunteer with Humanists Australia for almost two years and he is extremely passionate about helping to advance humanism.
It is common knowledge that the combined arts are a powerful medium that can transcend barriers and convey messages.
With this in mind, our purpose is to launch an entire humanist music and film scene that can play an integral part in helping to support and strengthen the humanist movement in much the same way as there has long been a thriving Christian music and film scene.
As humanists, we are very community conscious and our own creative approach involves a collection of community based initiatives which are mutually inclusive.
We would like to introduce three artists who will be working with the label on humanism themed creative projects.
Madam Who?
Humanist artist · Maryland, USA
Madam Who? is a humanist singer-songwriter who released Hymns of Utopia, Vol 1 in 2024 — a collection of original songs written from an explicitly humanist perspective. She has performed at Recovering From Religion’s Fall Excursion and The “Better” Conference in Fort Wayne. Her most recent release is LLAP (Live Long And Prosper), a song and music video for Earth Day.
Madam Who? has also written about humanist music for The Humanist online magazine, volunteers on the Recovering From Religion helpline, and is currently studying to become a counsellor with a focus on religious trauma.
Blatant Blatheist
Atheist rap artist · St. Louis, USA
Blatant Blatheist is an ex-Christian from St. Louis whose deconversion began in 2017 after watching Matt Dillahunty on The Atheist Experience. He subsequently started a YouTube channel — naming his first video ‘The Blatheist Experience in tribute’ — which led to more music based content after a video release featuring a rap battle skit between Jesus and Satan attracted a following. Several mixtapes with fellow artist Black Atheist Rants followed, and a full project, The Fall Of Rome, is planned for 2026.
He has appeared multiple times on the ACA’s YouTube channel and identifies as a humanist, believing that grounding oneself in reality is fundamental to living humanist values.
Conspiracy Of One
Science communicator & musician · Brisbane, Australia
Conspiracy Of One is a Brisbane-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and science communicator whose music aims to make scientific literacy and critical thinking engaging and accessible. He performs annual sold-out shows at the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium during National Science Week, and received a 2023 Australian Skeptics award for his promotion of reason and critical thinking through music, art, and interactive activities.
He has performed at the World Science Festival Brisbane with the Queensland Museum in 2024 and will return for the 2026 festival. Australian science communicator Dr Karl Kruszelnicki has featured on one of his songs. He also delivers TED talk-style presentations on critical thinking and logical fallacies, and has recently begun co-writing songs with scientists about their fields of research.
