The Congress is organized by the Danish Humanist Society (Humanistisk Samfund) in collaboration with other Nordic humanist organizations:
The 2023 General Assembly will be held around the World Humanist Congress. The General Assembly brings together representatives of Humanists International Member Organizations from all over the world to form the democratic governing body of the humanist movement.
Like in previous years, registration to attend the Humanists International General Assembly must be done separately. Delegates to the General Assembly can register by clicking the button below.

The 2023 General Assembly will be an in-person event. There will be no hybrid or remote participation. Voting will only be possible by authorized delegates who are present at the meeting in Copenhagen. All the business of the General Assembly is government by our bylaws: humanists.international/resource/bylaws/

Eligible Humanists International Member Organizations can apply for grants to cover some of the costs associated with sending representatives to the General Assembly. Please see:
The venue of program activities will take place at the Scandic Copenhagen Hotel. The World Humanist Congress organizers have set up a Portal to help delegates find suitable accommodation near the venue. Please visit: whc2023.com/hotel

According to en.coronasmitte.dk/travel-rules/covidtravelrules, there are no covid-19 related restrictions on entry to Denmark.
General covid-19 restrictions no longer apply in Denmark. However, onboard airplanes, you may be met with requirements regarding covid-19 certificate, and when visiting homes for the elderly, social institutions, and hospitals you may be met with requirements regarding face masks.

• 4 August, Friday: Congress opening. Plenary sessions and two six-part breakout sessions on different topics.
• 5 August, Saturday: Congress continues with plenaries and two six-part breakout sessions on different topics. In the evening: Congress dinner and awards.
• 6 August, Sunday: Congress closes with three plenary sessions.
• 6 August, Sunday: Humanist International General Assembly part 2 from 14:00. (for appointed delegates only – separate registration)
