About: Hosted by Humanists International’s Director of Finance and Operations, this interactive web-training will have three financial sessions:
Session 1: Foundations of Project Funding and Budgeting (11th Dec 2024)
As Sessions 2 and 3 are developed based on Session 1’s content, we highly recommend that you attend Session 1 to maximize your training outcome. We’ll also hold Session 1 twice to provide more opportunities for you to attend.
Session 2: Monitor and Report Project Financial Performance (Coming up in 2025)
Session 3: Ensure Compliance and Financial Accountability (Coming up in 2025)
Aim: These series are designed to equip small- to medium-sized organizations with limited staff capacity with the fundamental knowledge and enable them to plan, manage, and report on the financial aspects of their projects effectively.
Objectives:
By the end of the 1st session, participants will:
Training materials will be shared with you two weeks prior to the session. You can save them on your computer or print them out beforehand.
A pen and paper would also be helpful as you will do some calculations during the 2nd half of the session when we prepare a small project budget.

Presenters
Jean Zong, Director of Finance and Operations
Jean joined Humanists International in July 2019. She oversees and safeguards the organization’s financial governance and compliance. Her work focuses on strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and conducting audits. She also ensures efficient and seamless running of the organizational operations.
Before joining Humanists International, Jean gained several years of finance experience working in a variety of industries.
Jean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Beijing Technology and Business University, as well as a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from University of Kent.
